The time has come for stouts! As we steadily move into the holiday season and cozy up in front of fires with some sweet treats, nothing washes them down better than a dark and rich stout. In celebration of #StoutDay we’ve compiled a list of Stouts to kick off your stout season.

AVERY BREWING COMPANY |OUT OF BOUNDS STOUT

Do you think you can handle this full-bodied stout with extreme flavor? Rich roasted barley and mountains of hops give this stout a little something extra.

LEFT HAND BREWING COMPANY | MILK STOUT

Roasted malt deep coffee flavors help to create a strong foundation for this creamy, sweeter stout. If you put cream and sugar in your coffee this is an ideal stout fro you. It is not your standard stout, but rather a delightful difference for those who are weary of stouts.

HELLTOWN BREWING | PERVERSE STOUT

The chocolate and chocolate are common are not uncommon flavors for stouts such as this one, but it is the roasted toffee and malt that pair with complex dark fruit flavors that give this beer a surprisingly refreshing taste.

ROGUE ALES & SPIRITS | CHOCOLATE STOUT

A true classic American stout, it goes well with both beefs and desserts. You’ll notice it’s strong ebony coloration and rich creamy head at first, but stay for the earthy flavor of the oats and hops that elicit a taste of rich chocolate truffles.

SIERRA NEVADA | STOUT

Simply big, rich and bold. The founders of Sierra Nevada began brewing beers with rich flavors and thus this stout was born. It is a non-sense stout that is brewed with a passion and a history that cannot be refuted.

YARDS BREWING COMPANY | LOVE STOUT

A beer that is “seductively smooth.” This is a beer that is perfect for cuddling up with someone with. The brewers wanted to make a well-rounded and rich stout, complete with luscious notes of coffee and chocolate flavoring. They accomplished just that with it’s smooth and creamy mouth feel.

SOUTHERN TIER BREWING COMPANY | 2X MILK STOUT

For those unfamiliar with milk stout (also known as “cream or sweet stout”) contains lactose and offers a sweet taste. Unlike any other milk stout, Southern Tier amped it up with a double, giving the beer a 7.5% ABV.
